Greetings everyone! Having just taken over the Secretary position from Steve Paulson I would like to explain to everyone how I plan on handling communications to members. Sorry it's kind of long, but it's all important.
You may already know at the January meeting it was approved that the Hope News Letter will be published each month. Distribution will continue to be via e-Mail to those who have requested so, AND by US Mail to those who have not requested to receive by e-Mail. Obviously it is to the Club's advantage, both financially and (my) time-wise, to distribute information by e-Mail. It is fast, cheap, and allows the recipient to respond back to me immediately with any questions, corrections, complaints, kudos, etc., which I encourage you to do. There is also another advantage to e-Mail that I will explain in a moment. Over the next few months, or as long as it takes me to complete, I will be contacting people to verify e-mail addresses(as needed), and to confirm with everyone else that they wish to receive it by US Mail. You will help me out if you go ahead and send me the info. If you do not now receive the news via e-Mail, but would like to, PLEASE let me know. The US MAIL version of the news letter will be sent such that you will receive it the week before the next meeting. This way it also acts as a reminder of the up-coming meeting, as well as allowing me to include any new information received after the last meeting. Now, here's the e-Mail kicker - The e-Mail version of the news letter will be sent out TWICE: A day or two after the meeting AND an updated version the week prior to the next meeting. By using e-mail you not only get faster service, but TWICE the service!!
I encourage anyone to contact me with any suggestions they have. You can reach me by phone at 608-206-9169 or e-mail me at the Hope Gun Club email address:
