                     Thanks for visiting the Hope Rod and Gun Club website.

                                        Open shooting is closed for the season.

                      The February meeting will be held at the American Legion on

                                         Monday February 6th at 7:30 pm

Welcome to three new members, Jim Hirsch, Paul Peters and Bryan Spangler.

Congratulations to Stan Nichols who won the pheasant contest. Stan turned in a 23"            tail feather.

There were no entries in the deer bow and gun contests.

Monday March 5th is the annual fund raising banquet to be held at the American        Legion. For tickets contact Dick Larson. Dick will be selling tickets at the next meeting,February 6th. or can contacted at any time.

Cost is $50.00 a ticket.

The following events will be taking place in the near future:

Saturday, January 14th there will be a Sportsman's Swap Meet at the American      Legion.     

Sunday, January 22nd there will be a gun auction in Lake Mills north of I94 behind the old truck stop.

Saturday and Sunday, February 28th and 29th, Echoes of the Past Trade Fair will                be held at the fairgorunds in Oshkosh.

Saturday and Sunday, February 28th and 29th,is the Madison Fishing Expo at                     the Alliant Center.

Before the 2012 trap season starts the new schedules and team lists will be put on the website.

On this site you'll find information about our facilities and activities.  Throughout the     summer we have open trap and skeet shooting, as well as league trap shooting.          Singles and doubles.

Also there is a rifle range for muzzleloader use only.  Special events to be held in the  summer will be posted on the Club News page.

The spring Hunter's Safety Course class is full.

Please do not call Bob Schneider.

For those signed up, the schedule is as follows:

February 21st, 28th, March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th.

Saturday March 31st will be Range Day

...Some good information about Hunter's Safety...

There is no minimum or maximum age and parents are urged to enroll.  Anyone born after January 1st, 1973 must have a hunter education certificate to purchase any Wisconsin hunting license.  Residents of Wisconsin must be 12 years of age to purchase any hunting license, including bow hunting.  Young students certified will be able to purchase a license and hunt alone (with parental permission) when they turn 14.

Students successfully completing the course will receive a basic hunter education certificate, good in any state.
